Math

 

Students entering Fourth Grade need to develop their math skills by visiting

Brain Pop Jr.

Students should work on the following skills:

 

 

Geometry

Plane Shapes

Slides Turn Flips

Solid Shapes

 

 

Probability

Basic Probability

Pictographs

Tally Charts & Bar Graphs

 

 

Time

Time to the Minute

Time to the Quarter & Half Hour

 

 

Fractions

Basic Parts of a Whole

More Fractions

 

Take the hard quiz for each topic listed above (10 quizzes), print them out,  and bring them to school when we return in August.

 

In addition to completing the quizzes for the above topics, students also must complete a two-page Worksheet.

Language Arts

 

Students entering Fourth Grade for the fall of 2011 will use
Accelerated Reader 
to complete their summer reading enrichment.  The goal is to provide our students with the opportunity to practice and improve their core reading skills using the most innovative tools available.

After each book is read, students will need to come to the IHM Computer Lab to take the on-line quiz.  This will take about 10 to 20 minutes.
